Helium polish software
The description of new features in the last version
of program Helium Polish (release 3.50.2053)
  1. Information about slope angles for the large visible facets (main facets and halves facets) on the pavilion and crown
  2. Predefined positions of diamond in the scene
  3. Building of step cut diamonds. Improvement of model building for cut "Emerald"
  4. New parameters for Marquise and Oval cuts
  5. Some improvements were made in building of rounded fantasies (Pear, Oval, and Marquise)
  6. Saving of model of polished diamond in STL format is available
  7. "Auto turn off pump" option
  8. Values of angles of flat facets on any contour

1. Information about slope angles for the large visible facets (main facets and halves facets) on the pavilion and crown

This possibility is accessible for live mode "Info" (button "Info" in the main menu of panel "Scan polished diamond"), if you rotate diamond more then on 45 degrees from initial position (see Figure 1).

2. Predefined positions of diamond in the scene

3. Building of step cut diamonds. Improvement of model building for cut "Emerald"

Building of step cut diamonds. Improvement of model building for cut "Emerald". Appearing of cutting "Step cut" in the filed "Cutting" of panel "Build" of panel "Scan polished diamond". Mode "Step cut" is intended for any step cut including Emerald and Baguette cuttings. Note that modes "Emerald" and "Step cut" use different algorithms for building of Emerald cuttings.

4. New parameters for Marquise and Oval cuts

Now the upper, lower and star facets are divided into two groups ("point" and "wing"). Values of parameters are accessible in the full report for rounded fantasies. There are names of new parameters on the Figure 3. Here is the description of slope and azimuth facet parameters for rounded fantasies.

Here is an example from the full report where new parameters are marked by blue color:

5. Some improvements were made in building of rounded fantasies (Pear, Oval, and Marquise)

6. Saving of model of polished diamond in STL format is available

In the main menu of panel "Scan polished diamond" choose submenu "Report" and then "Export model…". In the appeared panel "Export model <name of model - "Simple" by default>" in the field "Save as type" click right button of mouse on the white field and choose "STL file (*.stl)". Then enter file name and press "Save".

7. "Auto turn off pump" option

Open "Options" panel (In the main menu of panel "Scan polished diamond" find submenu "Process" and choose "Options..."). Select "Polish" page. Set flag "Automatic turn off pump" and enter timeout in sec (see Figure 5).

8. Values of angles of flat facets on any contour

Click right mouse button on the free field of program (blue ornament) and choose "Restore - Marking-out". In the panel "Marking-out" choose page "Process" then field "Contour". Then click on the list of contours: at first time by the right button of mouse (remove selection from all contours) and then click on the necessary contour by the left button (selection of one contour). Thus you create object "Contour.NNN" in the panel of objects in the panel "Scan polished diamond". Then select "Draw broken line" from visualization button of object "Contour.NNN" in Scene and you will see values of angles for choosed contour (see Figure 6).
