and Helium Polish 1:2 version 3.70 (build 474)?

May, 20, 2006 - Helium Polish 1:1 version 3.70 (build 473) and Helium Polish 1:2 version 3.70 (build 474) are released.

The features of new release:

  1. Improvement in building of rounded fancy cuttings (Marquise, Pear, Oval)
  2. Improvement in building of Round Semi-polished diamonds and new reports for semi-polished round diamonds
  3. Picture "profile view of diamond model" is updated. Now user has option to change scale, size and other parameters of this picture

Improvement in building of Round Semi-polished diamonds and new reports for semi-polished round diamonds

New reports for round semi-polished diamond have new system of calculating of such parameters as crown height, pavilion height and girdle thickness. The main principle of new calculation of parameters is search of azimuth (direction or vertical plane - see page Girdle thickness) where values of parameters will be measured and calculated. Program uses main crown and pavilion facets and lower/upper girdle facets for search of described azimuth and direction of measurement.

Details: For every main facet and upper/lower girdle facets of semipolished diamond model program determines the most closed to girdle vertex and calculates its azimuth. Then in vertical plane of this azimuth (see page Girdle thickness) program calculates crown height (difference of Z-coordinates between highest table point and girdle point), pavilion depth (difference of Z-coordinates between culet point and girdle point) and girdle thickness. There are parameters Crown height (Mains), Pavilion height (Mains), Crown height (Upper Girdle facets), Pavilion height (Lower Girdle facets) for crown and pavilion. For girdle azimuths of corresponding facets of crown and facets of pavilion are different. That is why thickness is measured in azimuths of both crown and pavilion.

There are parameters Girdle thickness (Crown Mains), Girdle thickness (Pavilion Mains), Girdle thickness (Upper Girdle facets), Girdle thickness (Lower Girdle facets):

  • Parameters Avg, Min and Max of Girdle thickness (Mains) are calculated among all values of both Girdle thickness (Crown Mains) and Girdle thickness (Pavilion Mains)
  • Parameters Avg, Min and Max of Girdle thickness (Upper/Lower g.f.) are calculated among all values of both Girdle thickness (Upper Girdle facets) and Girdle thickness (Lower Girdle facets)

Picture "profile view of diamond model" is updated. Now user has option to change scale, size and other parameters of this picture

To change parameters of it is necessary to add and edit in section [Picture ] in corresponding ini-file. This is example of section:

In this section user can change for picture following parameters:

  1. Colored: 0 - B&W picture, otherwise - color
  2. FontSize - value in percents of increasing or decreasing of font (180 - font will be increased in 1.8 times)
  3. AspectRatioX,AspectRatioY - proportions of picture in pix. You can change them if you want to add white fields somewhere
  4. TitleLengthGirdleFacet,TitleDepthGirdleFacet - text of inscription for these parameters. You can change them if text will be above values of parameters during large increasing of font
