Brief vocabulary:

* Smart Cut – generic parametric cut for diamond allocation. This cut has an extensive number of parameters and may provide with high-yield solutions. Users can run the SmartRecut algorithm for a solution based on most popular Octonus generic parametric cuts.

* Gold and Silver stars – new attributes for facet types. They symbolize the primary and additional facets of the crown and pavilion which are involved in the allocation and optimization and play an important role in assessing the value of gems when they are chosen by buyers in the market. 

Starting from this version you can:

• Run the SmartRecut algorithm for a solution based on most popular Octonus generic parametric cuts (Smart Cuts)
• Use Sweetline as controlling parameter for generic parametric cuts (Smart Cuts). Sweetline allows you to find solutions with better Optical Performance
• Place not only “gold star” attribute for primary facets of the crown and pavilion for in-house cuts but also «silver star» for additional facets. During Goodwin cut registration you can adjust the stars
• Change cut in manual planning as tool for tune of solution after global allocation result
• View remaining depth in I3D report during bruting process obviously with color scale
• Edit slice-type inclusion sandwich
• Launch global allocation algorithms for low-weight rough diamonds less and get solutions with diamonds less than 0.05ct

* Goodwin cut – an advanced type of in-house cut which compared to the previous generation of cuts (aka ASCII-cuts) has more precise control over the cut geometry when changing the parameters, and also allows controlling the slopes of main facets.

* Gold star – a new attribute for facet types. It symbolizes the primary facets of the crown and pavilion which are involved in the allocation and optimization and play an important role in assessing the value of gems when they are chosen by buyers in the market.
